Bernie Korbly, Jr. founded Korbly Wood Products in 1970 back in the mid-west. Originally Bernie was purchasing wood in California and moving it back as finished goods to the mid-west. In 1971, Bernie moved to a location known as The Jewel Box situated in the coastal mountains of Northern California. Going back in time a little, Korbly was trained by an old time craftsman named Charlie Emrick. Bernie was also associated with Clint Wiley and Art Johnson.
